The site for Galliard Homes Ltd consisting of 250 new build luxury flats and affordable accommodation, at long lane SE1 is currently over halfway completed .The 17500m2 contract was won by Neonclass over conventional Anhydrite screeds because of the safty and ease of a containerized system on a site that has serious access restrictions. Neonclass who also install all the High density insulation and sound deadening quilts have been pumping up to 3500m2 per week.
Mike Maslen M.D explains we would like to go faster but we fear we would catch up with other trades too quickly. The Optiroc Alpha screed is only 35-45mm thick and dries 3 times faster than its nearest competitor. Alpha requires no sanding and is ideal in wet areas. The day after the floor has been installed following trades can start their works . Neonclass have two Silos in the UK with a further 160no at their disposal if required, these are capable of pumping the whole optiroc product range. The reason we love this system is because it puts us in control of when and where we stop pumping. We do not have to be at the mercy of a mixing plant that may be outside London and requiring up to 7 deliveries a day of mixer lorries backed up around the site every time the pump breaks down or blocks. Neonclass have found that once a client has used this system with all its quality and advantages they do not even consider going back to Mixer Plant based Anhydrite or ready mixed sand and cement screeds. |
